Movie review for "Hop"

HOP is a family film which blends state-of-the-art animation and live action with fun results. It tells the story of E.B. the Easter Bunny’s teenage son (voiced by Russell Brand), who has no interest in taking over the family business. E.B. wants to be a drummer in a rock ‘n’ roll band, so he heads to L.A. to chase his dreams. Once there, E.B. meets up with Fred O’Hare (played by James Marsden) an out-of-work slacker, who’s life needs direction. Hijinks, and a lot of pastels ensue.

Along with a nice “don’t judge a book by its cover message” HOP has some funny moments littles will love. It doesn’t hurt that the “villain” in this film is absolutely adorable, which makes his villainy comical, and appropriate for a broad audience.

In my opinion, watching this movie makes a fun pre-Easter activity for the whole family. You’ll be smiling when the movie is over… and probably have a strong craving for some early Easter candy!
